PSEP is a subsidiary of Pencak Silat USA, the team at PSUSA is a group of Pencak Silat professors, from many perguruan, that recognized the value of a program to introduce the public to a martial art form that has been relatively inaccessible for many years. Through years of development and consultation with medical, educational, and other Pencak Silat professionals the team was able to create the PSEP program.
PSEP – Pencak Silat Engagement Program is an internationally endorsed/doctor recommended health, fitness, and cultural physical education program. PSEP certified training centers worldwide offer an array of programs for all ages.
For the general public, the PSEP programs allow for introduction to the culture, history and martial arts of Southeast Asia without traditional long-term commitments of enrolling in a black belt program or cultural degree program.
The certificate programs that PSEP offers, allow for educational institutions to offer credit hours at off-site locations for physical education, culture of Southeast Asia, and other qualifying anthropology programs.
The development of each program has been evaluated by the team and groups of peers in each area of interest to include five generalized introductory programs of interest.
PSEP will continue to provide updates and learning modules for each specific program. PSEP certificate programs allow for student recognition by earning a certificate of completion from the PSEP accredited training center. In addition, the fitness programs have 4 levels of progression with an instructor certification completing the program for each evolution.
